Happy Dance Swap!

Good Morning!

Finally its the weekend, my son has soccer game this afternoon and I'm really looking forward to seeing him play. 

Today I want to show you the contents of an absolutely AMAZING nail package I received from my dearest friend Maria at Marias Nail Art and Polish. Maria you ROCK! I call this swap, the happy dance swap because that is pretty much what i did when I finish unpacking all this goodness!!! 〈( ^.^)ノ 

Let me start by saying Maria knows me sooo very well, she sent me the most incredibly beautiful polishes. Let's get to it shall we?

Pink Hello Kitty Manicure

Hi there,

I know, I know, another hello kitty manicure. This one was inspired by my mothers day gift - the hubby got me a HK box that had a pattern like this one and I couldnt help but recreate it.

I started by creating a background, and then stamped with a red polish, here it goes.

Bongo Nail Polish

Hi there!!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!!!

The other day I went to Kmart looking for a birthday present for Nathan and I have to admit I was paying no attention to the nail polish section when my hubby said "have you seen these before"? - and there they were - an untouched display of Bongo products and nail polish!!!!!....of course I had to snap a picture (not a good one) and wow beautiful colors. Pretty inexpensive each polish goes for $2.99 - I wish I could have bought one of each I like or 2.....

I did managed to pick up a few...

Hello Kitty, Bows and Tulips

Hello there beautiful ladies!!

I want to start by thanking all of you for the sweet birthday wishes for my birthday boy yesterday. He had a great day yesterday and was exhausted by the time he went to bed.

Hope you all enjoy the weekend. I have a Hello Kitty Manicure to show today. I like it a lot since it is the first one in a while that i have had time to sit and enjoy painting my nails. Oh how i missed it!

I decided to go for a bunch of random stuff like tulips and a tree - bows and hello kitty. LOL no purple? i think i must be feeling a little sick....

What do you think? Too girly? i think so! but its too cute!

Happy Friday!!!

Geeeeez, i waited for Friday for a long time, it seems. I wish I could say im going to be taking it easy this weekend but I dont see that in my near future. How about you? any plans for this weekend?

Ok, onto the nails - this is a recycled mani, i will show you what it used to look like before i stamped and changed it a bit, maybe next week - i just decided to show you this version first. 

I dont know.... i like how this look a little more in person than in the pictures-  but the holo ooohhh pure preciousness!! and purple of course! what is not to like?

Off Topic Post

Hello friends,

Today is a very special day - 7 years ago at 11:57 pm I was blessed with a very handsome, caring, loving, sweet, friendly, generous and helpful boy. Nathan has brought joy and meaning to my life, he has changed me and he has also stolen my heart.

I can hardly believe he is turning 7 today - just to think that he will be 10 in 3 years has me scared. Why has time gone by so fast? I miss him being a baby. Anyhow...

I know a lot of you have kids and parties do come around once a year...don't spend tons on party decoration, make them yourself! I want to share some birthday ideas with you, all you need is a printer and different types of paper.

One of the reasons i decided to do also the decorations myself is because there is not really a lot of party supplies available for a Ninjago Birthday Party. Pinterest has lots of helpful ideas as always. Here is what I did.

You can create your own banner:

• I downloaded the font from - here
• Used scrapbooking paper for the background
• Scissors
• Printed his favorite characters
• Glue

For the goody bags:

• I bough plain paper bags very cheap on ebay
• Cropped out the ninja eyes and printed them in sticker paper
• Also printed some round stickers to seal the bags on the back

For the drinks:

• Printed drink labels long enough to wrap around the bottle
• covered with clear packing tape to prevent bleeding
• taped it to bottle

For the invitations:

• I used some old photo paper that was laying around
• used a picture from the web, added the text, made some adjustments 
• print and Voila! 

We are ready for a party for a very special little boy! I will post pictures of the big day!
